Along the coast line of southern Provence, or generally known as the Côte d'Azur, you find a string of sea resorts.

In the Var, Sainte-Maxime is a pleasant example of a resort with a lively town, a busy marina and a string of fine beaches.

May is a lovely month to spend in Provence. The sun is out most days, the strong summer heat is not yet there, the tourist crowd is manageable and the people seem still friendly. A perfect time to visit a wine domain and taste the local wine. Some French national wine association must have come to the same conclusion and has organized a day of Fête de la vigne et du vin, Feast of the vineyard and the wine. We celebrated that day at our local favorite vinyeard.
